Summary

Site of a Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The barrow is much denuded by military activity and no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery.

Full Description

SY 88008245. Bowl (?) barrow, 33ft diameter and 4ft high on summit of slight rise. <1-2>

SY 87998244; diameter 10.0m. and height 1.0m. Surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <3>

A small round mound, 9m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 <5>. It is considered to be the site of the Bronze Age barrow marked on the Ordnance Survey 4th edition (10K) mapping. The barrow is much denuded by military activity and no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery.
