Full Description
'B'-(16)-SY 87698181. Bowl(?) barrow about 30ft diameter and about 3ft high. <2>
SY878819. Thorn Barrow, round barrow (See SY 88 SE 18) and three adjacent round barrows (probably 'B','C' and 'E' above). Scheduled. <3>
'B'. SY 87688180. Bowl (?) barrow, diameter 9.0m., height 1.0m. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
Potential site of a Bronze Age round barrow forming part of the Thorn Barrow Group. Indistinct earthworks were identified on aerial photographs taken in 1946 which may form part of this barrow <7>. The site is approximately 18m across and was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck project. No sign of the adjacent barrows (MDO8067, 69 or 70) were identified.
