Flint flaking site on Studland Hill, probably Bronze Age, discovered by Calkin. (1)


Papworth, M, 1992, Whitecliff Farm, Purbeck, Dorset, Wessex Region, 14 (Unpublished document). SWX1387.

J.B.Calkin identified a flaking site which he considered to be early Bronze Age but in 1952 Ordnance Survey found only one waster. Nothing was found during the present survey when the site was visited.

Centred SZ 033812) Flaking site, probably Early Bronze Age. A thorough search of the area produced one possible waster among the natural flint outcrop. (2)
