Summary

A mound interpreted as a probable Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 37 feet in diameter with a mound about 3 feet high. The round barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery on Godlingston Heath.

Probable bowl barrow 37 feet diameter, 3 feet high. (1-2)

A Bronze Age round barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery on Godlingston Heath. The barrow measures approximately 22 m in diameter. A hollow, probably the result of an excavation, is visible on the top of the barrow. (3) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.

Bowl barrow. 13 paces diameter, 4 1/2 ft high. <2>

This fern and heather covered mound is a questionable bowl barrow with a diameter of 12.0m. and a heoght of 1.3m. It has no berm or ditch and is situated on the edge of an old sand pit. It is badly-shaped. <3>

SZ 01788268. Mound, possible barrow, 37ft diameter and 3ft high on Godlingston Heath, situated above a large sand pit to the north-west. Similar to natural rises in adjacent heath. <5>
