Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 30 feet in diameter with a mound about 1½ feet high. The barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010.

Full Description

Small Bowl barrows. <2>

'A' (SZ 01648212) A bowl with a diameter of 12.4m and a height of 1.0m. It has no surrounding ditch or berm and there are traces of mutilation. Gorse and heather covered. <3>

'A' - (36) - SZ 01648212. Bowl Barrow, 30ft diameter and 1 1/2ft high. <5>

The barrow is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010 <7>. The barrow measures 9 m in diameter. A second barrow is located immediately adjacent to the east (see MDO7909). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
