Summary

A small bowl barrow on Church Hill. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 30 feet in diameter with a mound about 2ft high, and no visible ditch.

Full Description

A bowl-barrow on Church Hill, diameter 35 feet, height 2 feet. The centre of the mound has been disturbed. <2>

Situated at ST 70370355 on a ridge top in arable farmland, are the remains of a ditchless bowl barrow. It has been reduced by ploughing to a small oval mound up to 0.6m high, which measures 9.7m east-west by 8.3m north-south. Visible on OS air photographs. Surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <3>
