Full Description

A mound of uncertain date, which may be natural in origin or may be a burial mound, possibly of Bronze Age date. The mound is centred at SZ 00725 81094 and measures approximately 23 m in diameter. This feature was recorded from EH Reconnaissance aerial photographs of 2011. <2>

A possible Bronze Age barrow is located on Nine Barrow Down. The feature is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 2005. The mound is sub-circular and measures 23 m in diameter. It may be a round barrow, or possibly, a natural feature. <3> This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
