‘E. of Sea Spray House: Linear feature, perhaps sunken way visible on AP. Earthwork clear in rough grassland to the S. but further N. where it enters a field (regularly ploughed and in ley pasture), the feature is ploughed out. RAF/VAP/1946/1821:3397. 7/7/C.’

Aligned north-west to south-east the hollow-way crosses a field of permanent pasture towards a field corner and then curves south-west down slope towards the coastal cliffs. It is shown on aerial photograph RAF CPE/UK/1821 3399 taken in November 1946. A trackway is shown here on Treswell’s map of 1586.
