'A' - Bowl barrow, 12.0m diameter and 1.0m high, completely overgrown. <2>
A - (33) SY 88718722. Bowl(?) barrow about 30 ft diameter and about 4 ft high in woodland on South Heath. <4>
SY 888873. Two round barrows on South Heath. Scheduled. <5>
These two barrows are in dense wood and completely inaccessible. Revised at 1:2500 on M.S.D. from measurements of (4). <6>
A Bronze Age round barrow, approximately 8.3m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of South Heath, Holmebridge <8>. It is one of a group of two round barrows located here (MDO7688-89). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not clearly visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, this area now being under modern plantation.
