Full Description

Romano-British Pit, discovered in 1971 in the course of building works, containing coarse ware pottery. The pit also contained very black sandy loam and ash. The pottery dates to the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. A small bowl-shaped clay structure overlay the pit. (1)
