Full Description

Observations during the construction of a slipway and the dredging of a deep-water channel on the SE side of Furzey Island. Large V-shaped ditch of late Iron Age date identified, exposed in the cliff edge nearby. Produced negative results but supported conclusions from elsewhere in the region that local sea level change since the IA would have been of the order of 1m or less (see Keith Jarvis, PDNHAS 107 (1985) 153-153) (1 & 2)
