Full Description

Flint implements and flakes were found near Harman's Cross circa 1955: … 'C'-SY 97558098. Flakes and a probable Neolithic 'pick head', 4 1/2 ins. long (now in Dorset County Museum). <1>

‘Flint sites between Afflington Farm and Little Woolgarston, Corfe Castle … (c ) Flakes and a flint pick-head or hoe in a field (97558098) adjoining the path to Little Woolgarston. The pick-head, 4½ ins. Long and with a natural break at the butt end with some cortex remaining, has a sharp cutting edge. It resembles examples form Neolithic levels at Maiden Castle. It has been given to the Museum.’
