'Mound, 1½ ft. high, apparently of Romano-British debris, see Ancient Field Group (21), MDO7524) under the plough consisting of Portland Stone rocks associated with burnt clay and RB pottery, including samian ware'. (1)

'...In the only complete field, about 50 yards square, a small mound was seen under the plough to consist of Portland stone blocks associated with burnt clay and Romano-British pottery, including samian ware. The Romano British building lay 200 yards S.W. of this ‘Celtic’ fields near it are 20yards to 25 yards wide and probably represent continued cultivation.’
