Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow situated to the north of Coombe Bottom on a spur overlooking Coombe Bottom to the south. It has a mound 25 metres in diameter and about 0.5 metres high. The mound is surrounded by an infilled quarry ditch, which survives as a buried feature some 2 metres wide. It is the southernmost of a pair of bowl barrows (the other being MDO7410). It was visible as a very low earthwork on 2009 lidar imagery.

Full Description

A Bronze Age bowl barrow situated on a spur overlooking Coombe Bottom to the south. It has a mound 25 metres in diameter and about 0.5 metres high. The mound is surrounded by an infilled quarry ditch, which survives as a buried feature some 2 metres wide. It is the southernmost of a pair (see SY 97 NE 11). Scheduled.

One of two mounds to the north of Coombe Bottom. This possible barrow is 25m across and was visible as a very low earthwork on lidar imagery <4>. The mound was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
