Monument record MDO7490 - Roman occupation, West of Thrasher's Lane, Corfe Castle

Summary
A small quantity of Roman pottery was found in molehills in a field west of Thrasher's Lane. In 1973 A trial pit dug in 1973 located a possible Roman stone wall at a depth of two feet. A second trial pit located a heathstone and chalk layer, 6-9 inches thick.
