One of two small bowl barrows to the west of Polar Wood. Two small low mounds are visible as earthworks on Channel Coast Observatory lidar (2-3) and were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).

‘Two mounds, possibly barrows, at Swyre Head, Encombe, Corfe Castle.
Mr. P. A. Brown has noted remains of two mounds above the 600 ft. contour about 400 m. N.N.E. of the known barrow on Swyre Head. The more northerly mound lies in the field W. of Polar Wood, at SY 93577884; the other, about 70 m. S. (93567876), is crossed by the field wall and track running S.W. from the wood.’
