A small mound, 9m across, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs <2>. It is one of a linear cemetery of four barrows forming the Creech Heath Group. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.

The Creech Heath group of four bowl barrows lies in a west-east line above a south slope. One of these may have been the barrow on the Heath opened in the 19th century (see SY 98 SW 47) No.47. (B) 40 feet diameter by 3 1/2 feet high. Top dug into. <5>

A string of four round barrows occupying a prominent position on a low ridge in heathland. 'B'. This round barrow is also covered by mature gorse bushes; a large pit or shaft has been dug beside the west edge. It measures about 11.0m in diameter and is approximately 1.1m high. <7>

‘(I) Creech Heath Group (SY 98 SW). Four barrows in a short straight W.-E. line above S. slope from slight ridge. Probably one of these, or perhaps (45), was built of turf and contained a probably primary cremation with a small, ruby-coloured object, possibly amber (LVG 5a; Warne, C.T.D., cpf, no. 43). … (47) Bowl (92518402) immediately E. of (46). Diam. 40 ft., ht. 3½ ft. Top dug into.’
