Full Description

<1> Valentin J, 1996, An Archaeological Field Evaluation of the Proposed Arkell Prospect Exploratory Drill Site, Chaldon Herring, Dorset (NGR SY77858177) (Unpublished document). SWX8446.

'6.1 … a possible quarry in Trench 3 towards the southern boundary of the development area … The flint flakes in the quarry backfill may be significant in view of the limited amount of lithic artefacts from the evaluation as a whole, but it might also be considered that the feature is of relatively modern date.'
