Summary

A bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 66 feet in diameter with a mound about 7 feet high. At this time it was described as damaged and covered in trees. The Bronze Age barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

SY 79958199. Bush Barrow is a tree-coveed and damaged bowl barrow, 66ft diameter by 7ft high situated on the north east slope of a ridge. <1> <3>

Bush Barrow (name not confirmed), a bowl barrow as described by RCHM <3>. Its diameter is 18.5m. And height 2.5m. There is no visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

The Bronze Age barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs <6>. The barrow is sub-circular and measures 13 m in diameter. This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
