Summary

A bowl barrow on the eastern slope of a ridge. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 43 feet in diameter with a mound 5 feet high, and much damaged. The Bronze Age barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs.

Full Description

A bowl barrow, 43ft. diameter by 4-5ft. high but much damaged. Situated on the east facing slope of a ridge. <1> <3>

Bowl barrow in arable but not ploughed over. diameter 12.0m., height 1.2m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>

The Bronze Age barrow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs <6>. The barrow is sub-circular and measures 13 m in diameter. This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
