Monument record MDO7181 - Prehistoric field system, Bere Regis

Traces of a field system identified from aerial photographs. An extensive series of banked field boundaries were visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery to the south of the Roman Road (MDO7170). They cover an area of over 79 hectares and are of uncertain (prehistoric or medieval) origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

(SY 8522 9645) There is no trace of a field system in the field which is now under grass. Nothing visible on RAF air photograph CPE/UK1974/3348. <2>
