Summary

Cropmarks of fields or enclosures of uncertain date visible on aerial photographs taken in 1980. The fragments of at least two rectilinear ditched enclosures were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM and were considered likely to be of Iron Age or Roman origin.

Full Description

(SY 83829776) Cropmark of three contiguous fields or enclosures, represented on the air photographs as narrow ditch marks,appear to be superimposed upon a much ploughed down 'Celtic' field system.

There are no traces on the ground and the scale of the air photographs (1:7300 approx:) precludes the identification of any habitation. 1:2500 sketch plan derived from aerial photograph. <1>
