Summary

A mound situated close to a prehistoric field boundary, interpreted as a probable bowl barrow. In 1970 this monument was recorded as being around 41 feet in diameter with a mound about 2½ feet high and much spread by ploughing. The site of the barrow is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Full Description

A bowl barrow with a ditch and hollow centre. The mound is 17 paces in diameter and 3ft high. <2>

A bowl barrow 16.0 metres diameter, 1.6 metres maximum height. Grass covered. <3>

SY 84469730. Bowl barrow, diameter 17.0 metres approximately, height 0.2 to 1.0 metres maximum. Ploughed almost flat on the uphill side. Resurveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <7>
