Full Description
'A'. A large bowl barrow. (No dimensions given). <2>
'A' - A bowl barrow 35.5 metres diameter, 1.5 metres high. Under root crop and with no indication of a ditch or excavation. <3>
'A' (102) - SY 83399668. Bowl (?) barrow, 87ft diameter and 1ft high, spread and almost destroyed by ploughing. Grinsell lists this barrow as 30 paces diameter and 3ft high in 1957. <4-5>
"SY 834967. Round barrow north of Millum Head. Scheduled". <6>
'A'. SY 83409664. A close inspection was not possible because of crops, but from a distance the barrow appears to be as described (4). Revised from R.C.H.M. measurements at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <7>
The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1989 <8> and was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
