Summary

A bronze age round barrow is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery of Bere Heath. It is approximately 11.5m in diameter with a surrounding outer ditch approximately 1m wide. It is one of two potential round barrows located in close proximity to one another (see also MDO7102).

Full Description

This barrow has a dimeter of 12.0 metres and a height in the southern quadrant of 2.0 metres with no trace of a surrounding ditch. It is much pitted by tree planting trenches. A tree and heather covered Bowl Barrow. <2>

A large bowl barrow, no other details given. <3>

SY 86219290. Bowl barrow, about 30ft. diameter and 3ft. high thickly overgrown. <4>

A conifer covered bowl barrow, with traces of a ditch 1.0 metres wide and 0.3 metres deep, visible on the north and south sides. See ground photograph. Revised at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
