Bowl Barrow, ditched, covered with dense vegetation 1938. <2>

A bowl barrow with a surrounding ditch which is more definite on the north and west sides. Covered with a dense growth of rhododendron causing the following measurements to be approximate. Diameter of barrows 20.0 metres. Height 2.2 metres. Ditch averages 2.6 metres wide and 0.3 metres deep. The barrow is flat topped, with no signs of major excavation. <3>

‘Barrow densely overgrown with oak, sweet chestnut and rhododendron. A prominent rise encircled by a clear ditch but has an uneven surface due to badger infestation. South of the barrow is a plantation of mature pine and to the N. a cultivated field. 1/2/C.’
