Full Description
'B' Dimensions: Diameter 17 yards. Height 5ft. Flat topped shallow surrounding ditch. (2)
Two barrows lettered A & B, both heather covered. 'B' Diameter 14.0 metres. Height 1.8 metres. A surrounding ditch has an average depth of 0.3m. and width of 1.3 metres. This has been mutilated on the W side by a land drainage trench. No berm visible. A bowl barrow. <4>
'B' SY 90128733. Ditched bowl barrow, diameter 40 ft height 4 1/2 feet. Ditch 6 1/2 feet wide and up to 9 inches deep. <6>
A circular mound, approximately 14.1m in diameter and surrounded by a 1.5m wide ditch, is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Worgret Heath, Arne <7>. It is considered likely to be the remains of one of the round barrows described above. It is one of a group of dispersed barrows which make up the Worgret Heath group. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
