Full Description

In the course of evaluation of a proposed gravel extraction site, a trench was dug to test for the presence of a Roman road. No trace of the road was found but large sherds from a late Iron Age bead-rim bowl or small jar were recovered from a hollow which the excavators thought may have been natural in origin.' (1)
