Summary

A bowl barrow situated on a ridge overlooking the Frome Valley to the south. The barrow has a mound composed of earth, sand and turf, with maximum dimensions of 14 metres in diameter and around 0.65 metres in height.

Full Description

A bowl barrow on Affpuddle Heath. No details given, but sited at SY 79979227. <2>

Surveyed at SY 79969226 this barrow has a diameter of 12.0m and a height of 1.1m. It has no ditch. A small part of the barrow has been removed in the north by the passage of vehicles in an east-west direction. There were no surface finds. A heather covered bowl barrow. <3>

SY 79969225. Bowl (?) barrow, diameter 30 feet, height 1½ feet, half destroyed. Lies on the edge of a plateau. <5>

SY 79959225. Bowl barrow as described; there seems no reason to doubt its type. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <6>
