Summary

Two leaf-shaped arrowheads of Neolithic date were found in 1935 in the Springdale Road area by Miss Barbara Shaw. They are in the Dorset Museum.

Full Description

(Area centred at SY 99959595) Two leaf arrowheads - now in Dorchester Museum (1940.2. 2-3). <1>

The area in which these Neolithic arrowheads were found is now occupied by modern houses. No surface finds were made during investigation, but only a cursory search was possible. The arrowheads are still in the Dorset County Museum, but are not exhibited. They were found by a Miss Barbara Shaw, in 1935. There is fine scale flaking on both arrowheads.(2)
