Full Description
Three palaeolithic hand axes and a flake found at Alderney Red Pit. Now in Natural Science Society Museum, Bournemouth and the British Museum. <1>
The grid reference for this findspot is probably wrong as no gravel pits are known near this precise spot. Perhaps the Alderney Red Pit is the same as Alderney Gravel Pit at SZ 037 938 (P Bellamy 13/2/2012)
