Full Description

Six perfect vessels of Roman coarse ware were dredged from the mud at Lake on the Hamworthy peninsula. <1>

(SZ 01049002) Roman Pottery found AD 1931 (NAT) Roman pottery found 1931. Six complete vessels and numerous fragments of common blackware.<4>

Mr. Smith denied all knowledge of the vessels referred to in authority 1. It is probable that the pottery mentioned in authorities <1> and <2> is one and the same. Poole Museum have no knowledge of the pottery. <5>

Further pottery recovered from Little Channel in Poole harbour at SZ01079010 <6-9>
