Find Spot record MDO6808 - Neolithic jadeite axehead, South Western Crescent, Poole

A Neolithic polished jadeite axehead was found in 1900 in the area of the South-Western Pottery. The precise location of the findspot is not known.

Polished axe of jadeite found 1900. At Cambridge Museum of Archaeology, No. 1905.32.6. <1>

No further information about this find was obtained. Area now covered by the south-western Pottery Co. Ltd. <2>

Listed, with petrological description. The Cambridge Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology accession number is given as A.1905, 26. <3>
