Summary

Bowl barrow in Gravel Hill Plantation on edge of ridge. The mound was recorded as having a diameter of 10m and a height of 0.8m. The northwest part has been completely cut away by gravel quarrying.

Full Description

Bowl barrow. <2>

B. SZ 02009731. A tree covered bowl barrow, extensively mutilated. The diameter of the mound is approximately 8.0m., and its height 0.4m. There is no visible ditch. The north-west quadrant and part of the south-west has been cut away and destroyed by old surface diggings. <3>

'B' - (387) - SZ 02019732. Bowl barrow 45ft. Diameter and 5 1/2. high, damaged by gravel digging. <4>

'B'. SZ 02009731. Bowl barrow, diameter 10.0 metres, height 0.8 metres. The north-west part has been completely cut away. No visible ditch. 'B'. Resurveyed at 1:1250 and at L;2500 on M.S.D.'s. <5>
