Full Description
Coarse, un-reworked organic peats with tufaceous inclusions. Upper level at c. 8.7m OD. Neither the full extent or depth ascertained. Appear to be localised, probably restricted to a small oxbow remnant channel of the River Jordan. Undated. Also two broad linear features containing small quantities of animal bone, worked flint and ceramic building material, the features are uncertain function and date, but as they lay under at least 0.5m of topsoil and subsoil they are likely to be archaeological in origin.
