Full Description

An early Iron Age B hearth site indicating salt working was found beneath a low cliff on the north shore of the Fleet near Wyke Regis. The hearth was filled with shale and embedded with Iron Age B coarse pottery, its location suggesting association with salt working. (1 & 2)
