Full Description

In digging a cellar at 20 Petticoat Lane (Now the Wellington Arms, 13 St Albans Street) in 1836, a rude funeral urn containing burnt bones and ashes was found in shingle 6 ft below the surface. Probably Bronze Age. <1>
