Full Description
Two barrows on Bayard Hill, a locally prominent rise. 'A'. Bowl (SY 68 NE : 66418535). Diam. 60 ft., ht 8 ft. Top flattened and base damaged by ploughing. <2-3>
A: SY 66418535. Bowl barrow in arable but not ploughed over. Diameter 18.0m., height 3.2m. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
Bowl barrow in arable but not ploughed over. Diameter 18.0m., height 3.2m. No visible ditch. Visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs <6>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

'(R.14) EAST HILL GROUP(SY 78 SW). Fourteen, possibly sixteen, barrows in two compact clusters, the E. one containing a slightly irregular line of seven aligned on Bincombe (69) in R.12. Now mostly ploughed, but some still visible on skyline from Broadmayne bank barrow (19). Two barrows (LVG 31a and LVG Osmington 2), one possibly a disc, are untraceable.
One of Osmington (31–3) probably contained a primary inurned cremation in a cist and a fragmentary inhumation near the top.
