A bowl barrow 32m in diameter is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark ring ditch with an internal bank and central pit/ hollow. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

Round barrows on Ridgeway Hill: 'A'. Ditched bowl (?) (65588660) Diam. 75 ft., ht. 3 ft.; probably with ditch about 90 ft. in diam. Suggested by V.A.P. CPE/UK 1934, 1062. Contained only ashes and 5 small worked flints. <3>

'A' SY 65568659 Bowl barrow in arable, diameter 26.0m, height 1.2m. Ditch not visible. Ploughed. <4>
