‘Road cutting (SY 68407385). This cutting yielded 23 artefacts, also during a brief search. The most interesting find here is a flake with a small burin facet on one side, with the opposing side and one end blunted by fine steep retouch to facilitate handling. Six scrapers were found, of which five are side-scrapers and one a long flake trimmed all round, the trimming on the bulbar end being inverse. The rest of the artifacts comprise three ordinary cores, two core-trimming flakes, three small awls on flakes, three utilised flakes, one plain flake and four waste pieces. All these are in chert.’
