Full Description

A Methodist chapel at Southwell, dated to 1849. A small plain rectangular building with its gable to the street, the chapel has walls of hammer dressed stone blocks and a slate roof. It has two 19th-century 16-pane sashes to stone cills flanking its central gabled porch with a slab roof. Coped gables with cross-roll saddle stones. The street front unchanged, except for a later inscription "Southwell Methodist Church 1849" on the gable above the doors. <1>
