‘Field A3. East of Matterley Cottages, SU 020091.
An area of intensive flint working at the western end of the field, associated with a slight longitudinal mound, might suggest a barrow beside Matterley Cottages. Three ploughed-out barrows are already known in this field (RCHM 1975, 116).’
