Full Description
In the area centred at ST 61751895 which is under fairly high grass there are vague parallel crop marks indicating strip lynchets. In the area centred at ST 61531877, also under high grass, there appear to be fairly pronounced Medieval type parallel strip lynchets in three series. There also appears to be some rig and furrow west of the spring (ST 61661882). <2>
Centred at ST 61751895 in pasture land on the north east and south west sides of a small coombe are two parallel flights of Medieval type lynchets. The terraces average 2.0m high and 6.0m wide and are well defined. The supposed rig and furrow west of the spring appears to be part of this system. <3>
Relatively denuded rig and Furrow earthworks centred on ST 61696 18881 are visible in LiDAR imagery (EA 2022 DTM). <6>
