Summary

The site of plough levelled Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark double-concentric ring ditch on aerial photographs . It lies to the SW of the southern henge of Knowlton Circles and is one of the extensive Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. The outer ring ditch is 47m across and the inner 8m; it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

SU 0208 0947. A Bronze Age round barrow within the southern part of the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs and has been mapped by EH's Knowlton Circles Project. The barrow is defined by a circular ditch 45m in diameter. At its centre lies a second very small circular ditch 8.4m in diameter. <3-5>
