Monument record MDO6450 - Round barrow, one of the Knowlton Barrow Group, Woodlands

Barrow. A sub-circular cropmark is visible at Knowlton on 1995 aerial photographs. The feature is probably a Bronze Age barrow. The feature was digitally mapped by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

A sub-circular cropmark is visible at Knowlton on 1950s aerial photographs (2). The feature measures around 27.6m in diameter with a single 2.8m wide external ditch. The feature is probably a Bronze Age barrow; part of the Knowlton Barrow Group.

The feature is still visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 2002 and 2005 (3 and 4). It was digitally mapped by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
