Summary

A round barrow of a type known as a bowl barrow. In 1975 RCHME described it as having been levelled, but formerly visible as a plough-damaged mound 45 feet in diameter and less than 1 foot high. Forms part of the Drive Plantation Group of barrows.

Full Description

A Bronze Age bowl barrow. RCHME described it as having been levelled, but formerly visible as a plough-damaged mound 45 feet in diameter and less than 1 foot high. Recent air photographs show as cropmarks an irregular, subcircular ring ditch surrounding a subrectangular, almost trapezoidal ditched enclosure. This site is one of a cluster of round barrows, ring ditches and other monuments scattered throughout neighbouring fields (see associated monuments). This site was previously recorded as part of SU 01 SW 20.
