Full Description

[ST 63451500] For many years human remains from time to time, have fallen out of the field hedge (N.G. Ref. ST 63431500) bounding the face of an abandoned small quarry, but no dateable objects have come to light. <1> <2>

ST 63441500 The disused quarry face is from 2.0m. To 3.0m. High and extends for some 20.0m. N and S of the siting symbol. The quarry faces westwards; layers of chalk are exposed, but no features of archaeological interest were observed. The field E. of the quarry was under crops and not investigated. (3)
