Summary

Site of pottery kiln located by the Verwood and District Potteries Trust. Pottery kiln, part of the Verwood Potteries, in production by the 1840s until around 1910. It was originally operated by James Bailey during the 1840s and later by Thomas Bailey. In the late 19th century the pottery works were operated by Frederick Sims.

Full Description

Verwood kiln 7 <3> or site 5 (Young) <1> was originally operated by James Bailey during the 1840s and later by Thomas Bailey. The pottery works was then operated by Frederick Sims during the late 19th century, who continued production until c.1910. <1> <3>
