This curving section of the Hamworthy to Badbury Roman road is 120m long and lies north-east of Badbury Rings. Beyond the Shapwick parish boundary, to the north, it forks to form roads to Bath and Old Sarum. It is visible on aerial photograph NMR ST9603/7 taken in 1924 and on the ground it measures 8-10m wide and 0.2m high with no visible side ditches.
