Full Description
A ring ditch visible as a cropmark on air photographs. Listed by RCHME as Pentridge 28 and by Grinsell as Pentridge 15, it is one of a line of a possible 5 plough-levelled round barrows east of the Dorset Cursus and just north of the village of Pentridge. RCHME described it as a ring ditch circa 50 feet in diameter. In 1975, WH Hoade suggested it measured 68 feet in diameter, with a ditch 3-4 feet wide. <6>

‘Two ring ditches, probably barrows, appear as soil marks on air photographs (C.U.A.P., ANE 7, 8). They lie close together in the dry valley immediately N. of the village. … (28) Barrow ? (03641816); about 50 ft. in diameter.’
